Our Mission

kelcy coobari

To empower young people through mindfulness to help them understand their emotions, their minds and grow their life skills for a happier more fulfilled life.

I'm Kelcy, the founder and CEO of Coobari.

For many years I have worked with young people. My background includes being a Youth Mentor, Coach, Teacher Aide, Tutor and Disability Support Worker - all specialising in learning and behavioural therapy. All learning stems from wellbeing. The ability to thrive in their environment by having the tools to move through BIG emotions, understand themselves and connect to others. If we create a space for wellbeing first, academics and overall quality of life follow easily.

As the founder of Coobari, my passion and commitment to empowering young minds drove me to create this transformative mindfulness app for kids and teens. Growing up, I recognised the importance of equipping children with essential life skills and personal growth tools from an early age. I firmly believe that building a strong foundation of emotional well-being and mindfulness can positively shape their lives and help them navigate challenges with grace throughout their journey.

Coobari was born from the vision of providing kids and teens with a safe and nurturing space to explore mindfulness practices, cultivate resilience, and embrace self-discovery. I wanted to offer a platform where they could develop crucial skills such as focus, empathy, gratitude, and emotional regulation—essential elements for leading fulfilling lives and forming healthy relationships.

I understand that the pressures and complexities of the modern world can be overwhelming for young hearts and minds. With Coobari, I aim to break down barriers and make mindfulness accessible, engaging, and fun for kids and teens everywhere. By instilling these powerful tools early on, Coobari empowers them to build a strong sense of self-confidence, cope with stress in a healthy way, and foster a positive mindset that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Coobari is not just an app; it's a heart-driven mission to make a difference in the lives of the next generation. Together, let's embark on this journey to create a more mindful, resilient, and compassionate world—one young mind at a time.

Given the right resources, every young person can thrive, no matter their circumstances. I have seen this many times over again through working in one-on-one sessions. Given the right support and materials - each young person has been able to create big shifts in their lives toward a happier and calm state.

Coobari was born out of the desire to help young people navigate life's ups and downs. This enables young people to learn that they get to write their own stories when learning, socialising or supporting their mindset and emotions.

With my experience in children’s education, tech, art and design, I brought these tools to more young people by building our app.

Gathering all my research, experience, and resources in our app allowed me to bring my expertise and teachings to help support more young people.
